Two quick goals early in the third period erased a scoreless tie and lifted the Red Deer Rebels to a 3-0 win over the Hurricanes Saturday night at the ENMAX Centre. Both teams played a solid game, but the Rebels outlasted the Canes' in this game by ramping things up in the final period with 19 shots on goal.  Red Deer out shot Lethbridge 42-27 overall on the night.  The Canes' still remain two points out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, despite having just one victory in their past 9 games.  This is the second time this year that the Rebels have shutout the Canes'.  The Hurricanes next game is Friday (Feb. 18) when they travel to Red Deer for the re-match.  Game time is 7:00 pm (MST).  The pre-game show on CJOC at 6:30.
