Medicine Hat Beats Lethbridge 5-1 at ENMAX Centre

A slow start for the Hurricanes proved to be costly as the Medicine Hat Tigers beat Lethbridge 5-1 Saturday night.

A slow start for the Hurricanes proved to be costly as the Medicine Hat Tigers scored twice in the first period en route to a 5-1 win over the Hurricanes at ENMAX Centre Saturday night.  The Canes' just couldn't generate much offence against an injury-depleted Tigers line-up. Jacob Berglund scored the lone goal for the Hurricanes in this game.  The final shots favoured Medicine Hat 31-30.  This loss for Lethbridge, combined with a loss for Prince Albert Saturday as well keep the Raiders two points ahead of the Canes' for the final playoff playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.  Both teams have three games to go.  The Hurricanes next action is Tuesday (Mar. 15) when they head to Edmonton to take on the Oil Kings.  The pre-game show on CJOC at 6:30.  The puck drops at 7:00 (MDT).
