The Lethbridge Hurricanes remain in a huge battle for playoff positioning in the Western Hockey League's Eastern Conference. The Canes sit with a record of 26-15-4-3, good enough for 4th place in the East as of Wednesday (Jan. 25). Lethbridge sits six points back of Medicine Hat and Moose Jaw, both of those teams are tied for second and third place respectively, while the Canes are trying to hold off Swift Current with the Broncos hot on their heels at the moment. The Hurricanes head to Saskatchewan this weekend. The Canes play in Prince Albert Friday (Jan. 27) and then travel to Saskatoon Saturday (Jan. 28). Lethbridge is back home next Tuesday (Jan. 31) when they welcome the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings. - Pat Siedlecki
