Lethbridge Bulls WMBL Season Ends With Playoff Series Loss to Medicine Hat

A tough end to the season for the Lethbridge Bulls, losing a 5th and deciding playoff game at home Saturday to the Medicine Hat Mavericks.

The Lethbridge Bulls season came to an end on home field over the August long weekend with a game five loss to the visiting Medicine Hat Mavericks. The Bulls fell behind 4-0 in the game early and couldn't muster enough offence to battle back, losing 4-1. The Mavs took the series 3-2 and moved on to play the Edmonton Prospects in round two. The Prospects ended getting by powerhouse Okotoks, taking down the Dawgs in five games as well. As for the Bulls, the finished the season with a 27-21 record, but ended up losing out to Medicine Hat for the second straight year in the WMBL's post-season. - Pat Siedlecki
