A new look for the WHL\'s Lethbridge Hurricanes as the team rolled out a red third jersey Monday.
The Lethbridge Hurricanes will be sporting a new look. The team unveiled a red third jersey Monday afternoon at the 18th Air Defence Regiment. The new jersey roll-out is in conjunction with Remembrance Day in honour of the Canadian Armed Forces. The red jersey is similar to that of the NHL's Washington Capitals and uses the same red colour the Canes' organization had a number of years ago. With the red, comes a redesigned logo and shoulder patches. Hurricanes Media Relations Co-oridnator Ryan Ohashi says the hockey club has been trying to develop a red jersey for some time now and it was perfect timing with Remembrance Day coming up. The Canes' will wear the new jerseys for the first time on Wednesday night when they host the Calgary Hitmen. They'll also wear them every time they play a game on a Friday night for the rest of this season.
