Hurricanes Lose Second of Back-to-Back Set With Calgary; Drop Fourth Straight Overall

A four goal first period powered the Calgary Hitmen to a 6-3 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes Saturday night at the Saddledome.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes are struggling as they approach the quarterway point in the 2017-18 WHL season. The Canes dropped their 4th game in a row Saturday, losing 6-3 to the Hitmen in Calgary. It was the second straight night the Canes lost to the Hitmen by that same score. Calen Addison, Zane Franklin, and Koletrane Wilson scored for the Hurricanes. The Hitmen slightly out shot Lethbridge 34-31. This game was won for the Hitmen in the first period when Calgary jumped out to a 4-0 lead after 20 minutes of play. The Hurricanes now see their record fall to 7-8-1 on the season. The Canes next action is at home Friday (Nov. 10) when they host the Spokane Chiefs.
