Hurricanes Lose Final Game of Season 7-1

Kootenay defeats Lethbridge 7-1 in Cranbrook in the final game of the 2010-2011 WHL season for the Hurricanes

Four goals in just under four minutes in the first period lifted the Kootenay ICE to a lop-sided 7-1 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes Saturday night in Cranbrook. The Canes' lone goal was scored by Brody Sutter, his 18th goal of the season.  The ICE out shot the Hurricanes 38-22 in this game. The Hurricanes 2010-2011 season is now over.  They finish with a record of 23-36-5-8, just three more victories than last year.  They missed the playoffs by 8 points.  The Canes' will now turn their attention to the upcoming WHL Bantam draft in early May where they have two picks in the top four.
