Two goals 90 seconds apart in the first period lifted the Red Deer Rebels to a 5-0 win over the Hurricanes Thursday night. The Canes' couldn't find the back of the net in this game and were blanked by a very good Rebels team.  With the shutout, Darcy Kuemper sets a Red Deer franchise record with 12 career shutouts, most ever for a Rebel goaltender.  With the loss, Lethbridge sees it's record fall to 12-17-2-6 on the season after 37 games.  The Hurricanes have just two wins in their passed 16 hockey games as they now get set for the 2011 portion of their WHL schedule. The Hurricanes next action is Saturday (Jan. 1) when they play host to the Swift Current Broncos in their first game of 2011.  Game time from the ENMAX Centre is 7:00 pm (MST).  The pre-game show on CJOC at 6:30.
