Canes' Eliminated From Playoff Race with 5-3 Loss to ICE

Three goals in the third period lifted the Kootenay ICE to a 5-3 win over the Hurricanes Friday night at the ENMAX Centre. The Canes' got goals from Cam Braes and Brody Sutter in this game.  The ICE out shot Lethbridge 35-27.  With the loss, the Hurricanes were officially eliminated from playoff contention.  Prince Albert won it's game with Swift Current, so the Raiders will clinch the final post-season spot and will meet up with Saskatoon in the opening round. The Hurricanes will play their final game of the season Saturday (Mar. 19) when they travel to Cranbrook for the re-match.  Game time is 7:00 pm (MDT).  The pre-game show on CJOC at 6:45.  The puck will drop around 7:15 as the ICE will hand out their annual awards prior to the game.
