A University of Lethbridge Neuroscience and Psychology student receiving provincial recognition for her volunteer work Tuesday.

A University of Lethbridge Neuroscience and Psychology student receiving provincial recognition for her volunteer work Tuesday. The "Stars of Alberta Volunteer Awards" were handed out to six recipients during a ceremony at Government House in Edmonton. Imogen Pohl joined Girl Guides at the age of four and began volunteering at nine when she became a Girl Assistant for Sparks. From there she earned every top award available through the organization and also became heavily involved with the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta. The awards are presented every year on or around International Volunteer Day. -Tina Giesbrecht
