Two Separate Trial Sets For Coaldale Man Accused in Sexual Assaults

A Coaldale man will have two trials in Lethbridge court in 2018, accused of sex-related offences against four girls.

A Coaldale man accused of numerous sex-related offences against four girls will be heading to trial in Court of Queen's Bench in 2018. Trevor Pritchard will be tried by judge and jury April 9th through 13th, on one count each of sexual assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and child luring. The 32 year old is scheduled for a second trial by judge and jury November 13th through 30th next year two counts each of sexual assault and child luring and one count of possession of child pornography. Special prosecutor Carloyn Ayre says it will be better to hear the charges separately. Pritchard was originally arrested in January for these offences, with additional charges being laid in May. He is a registered sex offender and remains in jail at the Lethbridge Correctional Centre. - Sam Borsato
