Southwest Alberta Takes Brunt of Weekend Blast of Winter

Snow piled up in west Lethbridge after the storm had stopped this past weekend

Some impressive snowfall totals from last weekend's storm. Lethbridge received 39 cm of snow and Waterton close to 50 cm.

A lot of snow fell during last week's storm across southern Alberta. Environment Canada says the Waterton area received the most at around 50 cm over just a two day period. Cardston had 44 cm and Coleman in the Crowsnest Pass received 39 cm. Lethbridge got hammered pretty good as well also recording 39 cm of snow from that storm. Lesser totals when you head east. Medicine Hat received 26 cm and Brooks around 20 cm. The good news is there is a very little chance of any more significant snow in the forecast for the next 10 to 14 days. - Pat Siedlecki
