Lethbridge Yard Waste Collection Sites Closing For Season November 30th

This year, a total of 1.37 million kilograms of yard waste was diverted from the landfill. That's a 15% increase over last year.

Lethbridge residents have another week to use the yard waste collection sites before they close for the season. The sites will close for the season November 30th. There are three locations: At the recycling stations on Bridge Drive West, Stafford Drive North, and on the south side by the soccer centre. This year, a total of 1.37 million kilograms of yard waste was diverted from the landfill. That's a 15% increase over last year. All the grass, leaves, and garden waste collected at those three locations is composed and used in city parks and planting beds. The Waste & Recycling Centre will accept yard waste for composting between December 1st and March 31st  with no disposal fees charged to city residents on Saturdays.
