Lethbridge Student, Charged After Concerning Social Media Posts, Pleads Not Guilty

A teenager accused of making a suspicious social media post about Chinook High School in west Lethbridge has pleaded not guilty to his charge.

A teenager accused of making a suspicious social media post about Chinook High School in west Lethbridge has pleaded not guilty to his charge. On September 25th, Lethbridge Police responded to reports of concerning photos on the app, Snap Chat, one with a firearm lying on a pack of cigarettes and another showing a case of bullets.  Both photos had "Chinook High School" written across them. An investigation determined there was no intent to harm anyone and 18 year old Mohammad Farawan was charged under the School Act with disturbing the proceeding of school. He's pleaded not guilty to that charge and is expected to go to trial on June 14 next year. -Sam Borsato
