Lethbridge Man Charged with Hit and Run in Nanton

A Lethbridge man is facing charges after an alleged hit and run with a stolen vehicle.

A Lethbridge man is facing charges after an alleged hit and run with a stolen vehicle. Nanton RCMP say a local man was getting into his vehicle on Slade Drive early Wednesday afternoon when he and his car were hit by a pick-up truck. The man suffered minor injuries while the driver abandoned the truck and took off on foot. Mounties determined the vehicle had been stolen out of Calgary. A suspect was located a short time later hiding in a home not far from where the collision happened. 29 year old Benjamin Littleleaf of Lethbridge has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and driving while suspended. He remains in custody and is due in Okotoks Provincial Court Friday, December 22. -Tina Giesbrecht
