A big day Friday for the Southern Alberta Art Gallery.
A big day Friday for the Southern Alberta Art Gallery. A large crowd gathered for the grand opening of the newly renovated SAAG building on 3rd avenue south. Provincial Culture Minister Lindsey Blackett was in town to help cut the ribbon and kick off Alberta Arts Days. He says Lethbridge is home to the largest art collection west of Toronto and to have a facility like this to showcase all of what southern Alberta artists have to offer is great. The cost of the project was 3.4 million dollars and includes a new entrance, gift shop, kitchen, video gallery, and state-of-the-art technology.
