Lethbridge residents can once again have backyard fires. Colder weather and snow in the forecast has significantly reduced the risk of wildfires.
Due to the recent change in weather conditions, the fire ban has been lifted for the City of Lethbridge, effective immediately. Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services would like to remind Lethbridge residents that careless disposal of cigarette butts has contributed to over five million dollars in property loss and grass fires this summer. Please dispose of all cigarettes in a metal ashtray especially when driving, and refrain from smoking in the river bottom.
