Explosive Device Left at City Cell Tower

Lethbridge Regional Police are investigating after a home-made explosive device was left at a nearby cell tower.

A suspicious package left at a city cell tower turned out to be potentially dangerous.  Lethbridge Regional Police were called to a remote area off 28th street north after a Telus employee discovered the package Thursday morning. Police Spokesman, Kristen Harding, says members of the Explosive Disposal Unit used a type of robot to safely dispose of it. There were no injuries and no property damage.  Harding says the damage, had the device exploded, would have been limited to the person handling it. The investigation is ongoing.
