The City of Lethbridge is warning residents about a couple of scams going around the community.

The City of Lethbridge is warning residents about a couple of scams going around the community. People have been reporting either phone calls or door-to-door visits where the caller asks to check the homeowner's water system, meter or sometimes furnace. They'll then try to sell water treatment equipment or recommend a furnace upgrade. The City says it's staff will have proper City of Lethbridge ID, uniforms and vehicles. Anyone concerned about the legitimacy of a call or visit can call the police complaints line. -Tina Giesbrecht
