WHL: Lethbridge Hurricanes Down Vancouver Giants 4-3

A couple of goals from Jake Elmer powered the Hurricanes to a 4-3 win Friday night over the top team in the WHL's BC Division.

Jake Elmer scored twice as the Lethbridge Hurricanes beat Vancouver 4-3 Friday night at the ENMAX Centre.

The Canes scored twice in the second period and two more times in the third to win the game. Taylor Ross and Jordy Bellerive notched the other two Lethbridge goals. 

Vancouver out shot Lethbridge 36-28 on the night.

The win improves the Canes overall record to 20-10-4-4 on the season. They're now one point back of Red Deer for top spot in the WHL's Central Division.

The Hurricanes next action is Sunday afternoon (Jan. 5) in Edmonton.
