WHL: Hurricanes Down Tigers For 5th Straight Win

The Lethbridge Hurricanes are rolling with a week left in the WHL's regular season.

The Hurricanes picked a good time to get into a nice winning groove.

The team has rattled off five straight victories, following a 5-2 home ice win Friday over the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers. Jordy Bellerive, Zach Cox, Nick Henry, Taylor Ross, and Dylan Cozens all scored for the Canes, giving the club their 37th win in 65 games this season.

The Hurricanes have also won 9 of their last 11 games, however because Edmonton doesn't want to seem to lose either lately, Lethbridge still remains even with the Oil Kings for top spot in the WHL's Central Division.

The Canes will play their final home game of the regular season Saturday (Mar. 9) when they host Calgary.
