U of L Coach Committed to New Dehli Games

Concern over the state of living conditions for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in New Delhi is hitting close to home.

Concern over the state of living conditions for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in New Delhi is hitting close to home.  Head Coach for the University of Lethbridge Track team, Larry Steinke, is Team Canada's Throws Coach for the Games.  A couple of Canadian athletes have already pulled out because conditions in the athlete's village have been described as "unfit for human habitation."  Steinke admits there are always concerns, but says he's travelled to other poorer countries and knows how to take the proper precautions and sanitation measures.  He adds the athletics part of the Games doesn't start until October 6th, so Steinke hopes the living conditions will be up to par in time for his athletes to compete.
