Tigers Blank Hurricanes to Open Second Round of WHL Playoffs

Not a good start to the second round of the 2017 WHL playoffs for the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The Medicine Hat Tigers took it to the Lethbridge Hurricanes in the first game of their second round WHL playoff series Friday night. The Canes were blanked 4-0 and were badly out shot 37-16 in the game. Canes Captain Tyler Wong told the WHL of SHAW during the second intermission that it was the worst game the Hurricanes have played in a long time. The Hurricanes didn't have a power play in the game. Medicine Hat went 0/4 with the man advantage. The Tigers lead the series 1-0 with Game Two Saturday night (Apr. 8) in Medicine Hat. The series returns to Lethbridge next week. - Pat Siedlecki
