Rebels Hammer Hurricanes 10-2 in Red Deer

Four goals in the first period and four more in the second powered the Rebels to a lop-sided 10-2 win over the Hurricanes Wednesday night in Red Deer.

Four goals in the first period and four more in the second powered the Rebels to a lop-sided 10-2 win over the Hurricanes Wednesday night in Red Deer.  The Hurricanes couldn`t generate much of anything in this game as the high-powered Rebels came at Lethbridge in waves all night long.  Cam Braes scored the Hurricanes only two goals. He now leads the team with 26 goals on the season.  Red Deer also out shot the Hurricanes in this game 49-24. The loss drops the Canes' record to 17-23-2-7 and they remain in an 8th place tie in the Eastern Conference.  The Hurricanes next action is Friday (Jan. 28) when they play host to the Kootenay ICE.  The two teams will play in Cranbrook Saturday.  Game time Friday is 7:00 pm (MST).
