Edmonton scored five straight goals to beat the Hurricanes 5-1 Friday night.
The Lethbridge Hurricanes opened the scoring, but that was as much offence as they could muster up, losing 5-1 Friday night to the Edmonton Oil Kings Friday night.
Adam Hall got things going for Lethbridge with his first goal of the season, however it was all Edmonton after that. The Oil Kings rattled off five straight to take the game.
The shots were even at 25-25.
The loss drops the Hurricanes overall record to 22-11-4-4 on the season and their lead atop the WHL's Central Division is now down to just one point.
The Canes next action is Saturday (Jan. 12) when they host the Kootenay ICE.
