Lethbridge Hurricanes Dump Kootenay 8-1

The Lethbridge Hurricanes snapping a two game slide on Wednesday with an 8-1 win over the Kootenay Ice.

Giorgio Estephan picking up a hat trick on home ice Wednesday as the Lethbridge Hurricanes dumped the Kootenay Ice 8-1.  The win snapping the 'Canes two games slide after they lost both games of a home and home against Calgary over the weekend.  The 'Canes outshooting the Ice 45 to 34 and also got goals from Alec Baer, Jordy Bellerive, Calen Addison, Ryan Vandervlis and Egor Babenko.  The Hurricanes have just two regular season games remaining, a home and home against Medicine Hat on Friday and Saturday.  Lethbridge will face Red Deer in the opening round of the WHL Playoffs.  Game 1 is set for next Saturday (Mar. 25) at the Enmax Centre. - Tom Roulston
