Not the way the Lethbridge Hurricanes wanted to start after coming off the Western Hockey League's Christmas break. The Canes went into Cranbrook Tuesday night and dropped a 6-4 decision to the ICE. Tyler Wong scored twice in the loss, while Zane Franklin and Brett Davis added the others. The loss drops the Canes overall record to 18-13-3-2 on the season , four points back of both Moose Jaw and Swift Current in the Eastern Conference standings. The Hurricanes are now winless in their last three games. The Canes and ICE play again Wednesday (Dec. 28) this time back in Lethbridge.
