Lethbridge Hurricanes Down Tigers 7-2 Sunday at ENMAX Centre

A hatrick from Zane Franklin helped propel the Lethbridge Hurricanes to a lopsided 7-2 win Sunday over the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Zane Franklin scored three times as the Lethbridge Hurricanes beat the rival Medicine Hat Tigers 7-2 Sunday evening at the ENMAX Centre. Dylan Cozens, Ryan Vandervlis, Egor Zudilov, and Brady Pouteau had the others for Lethbrirdge. The victory moved the Canes back to the .500 mark on the season with a record of 5-5. Neither team was able to score on the power play in this game. The Tigers narrowly out shot Lethbridge 37-36. The Canes will continue this lengthy home stand Wednesday (Oct. 25) when the Regina Pats come to town. It'll be the first game between the teams since the WHL's Eastern Final last season. - Pat Siedlecki
