The Lethbridge Hurricanes are officially heading to the WHL playoffs again, after clinching a spot Wednesday night.
A big victory for the Lethbridge Hurricanes Wednesday night on home ice.
The Canes beat the Brandon Wheat Kings 4-1 and in the process, clinched a WHL playoff spot. It was also the Hurricanes 4th win a row.
Local product Zach Stringer scored his first-ever WHL goal in the win. Jake Leschyshyn scored two and Jake Elmer added the other. The Hurricanes overall record improves to 36-18-5-5 and are now tied with Edmonton for top spot in the WHL's Central Division. The Oil Kings however, have one game in hand on Lethbridge.
With lots to be decided in the final few games, the Hurricanes first round playoff opponent may not known until after the final game is played next weekend.
The Canes next action is Friday (Mar. 9) when the host the Medicine Hat Tigers.
