Hurricanes Beat Tigers 5-2 at ENMAX Centre, Take 2-1 Lead in WHL Playoff Series

Giorgio Estephan, the WHL and CHL Player of the Week, scored twice as the Lethbridge Hurricanes charged back from a 2-0 deficit to beat the rival Tigers 5-2 Tuesday night in front of a large crowd at the ENMAX Centre. Jordy Bellerive, Brennen Menell, and Tyler Wong scored the others for Lethbridge on the night. The victory gives the Canes 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven, second round playoff series with Medicine Hat. Special teams was the difference in this game. The Hurricanes went 2/4 on the power play, the Tigers finished the night 0/1. Medicine Hat held a 38-31 edge in shots on goal. The Hurricanes have a chance to take a stranglehold lead on the series Wednesday (Apr.12) when they host the Tigers in Game Four. Puck drop is at 7:00 pm MDT.
