Hayden Clayton Re-Assigned by Lethbridge Hurricanes

The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club has re-assigned forward Hayden Clayton. The 17-year old will be sent to the Whitecourt Wolverines, playing in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Clayton appeared in all five exhibition games for the Hurricanes this season recording one goal with a plus-1 rating. The 6'3", 195-pound forward from Red Deer was undrafted in the Western Hockey League Bantam Draft before being signed by the Hurricanes in 2016. Clayton appeared in one AJHL game last season with the Wolverines, where he was held pointless with two penalty minutes. The Hurricanes now have a total of 25 players on their roster, including 15 forwards, eight defenseman and two goaltenders. The Canes will host the Medicine Hat Tigers Friday night (Sep. 22) in their 2017-18 regular season home opener at the Enmax Centre. Puck drops at 7:00 p.m.. -Sam Borsato
