The Lethbridge Hurricanes have just four wins in their last ten games following a 6-3 loss Friday at home to the Calgary Hitmen.
The Lethbridge Hurricanes lost their third straight game at home, dropping a 6-3 decision Friday night to the visiting Calgary Hitmen. Jordy Bellerive, Jake Elmer, and Giorgio Estephan scored for the Canes in this game. Despite the loss, Lethbridge out shot Calgary 37-31. The Canes went 1/2 on the power play and Calgary 0/2. The Hurricanes have now lost three straight games and as mentioned, all on home ice. The Canes have been struggling the past few weeks with only four wins in their last ten games (4-5-1). The loss Friday to the Hitmen drops the Hurricanes overall record to 7-7-1 on the season as they approach the quarter way mark in the WHL schedule. After a lengthy home stand, the Hurricanes will now play 7 of their next 8 games away from the ENMAX Centre. The Canes and Hitmen will battle again Saturday (Nov. 4), this time at the Ssaddledome in Calgary. - Pat Siedlecki
