Trustee Wickham Resigns From Public School Board
Dennis Wickham has stepped down as a Trustee with the Lethbridge Public School Board.
A Trustee with the Lethbridge Public School District has resigned after recently pleading guilty to fraud in two separate cases. Tuesday night, the School DIstrict 51 Board received a letter from Dennis Wickham stating he would be stepping down from that position so it would not become a distraction to the operation of the district. Wickham pleaded guilty to fraudulently writing cheques when he was part of both the Lethbridge Minor Softball Association and the Southern Alberta Football Officials Association. Board Chair Gary Bartlett says they will remain with six trustees for the rest of the term and no by-election will be called.
