LRPS Charge Five Men with Soliciting in Downtown Core

An ongoing initiative to curb prostitution in Lethbridge's downtown core has resulted in charges against five men.
An ongoing initiative to curb prostitution in Lethbridge's downtown core has resulted in charges against five men. Lethbridge Regional Police say all five incidents took place this week and all involved a man soliciting a female police officer working undercover. Vehicles were seized in two of the five cases and will be held pending the outcome of the charge in court. Charged with communicating to obtain the sexual services of a prostitute are 85 year old Rae Goughnour, 53 year old Dale Gordon Reid, 54 year old George William Renner and 31 year old Shooresh Soufipour, all of Lethbridge. Also charged is 66 year old Ronald Keith Brown of Nanton. The police operation uses both male and female undercover officers to target sex trade customers and sex trade workers. - Tina Giesbrecht
