Two Men Charged in Major Lethbridge Drug Bust Agree to Trial

27 year old Drew Boake and 29 year old Alexander Herbert have elected for trial by judge alone in Court of Queen's Bench.

Two people charged in what's believed to be Lethbridge's largest-ever drug bust consenting to trial Monday (Mar. 12). 27 year old Drew Boake and 29 year old Alexander Herbert have elected for trial by judge alone in Court of Queen's Bench, on three charges each of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and an additional charge of possession of the proceeds of crime for Boake. A third person previously accused in the case, 23 year old Katlyn Robinson had all three of her charges withdrawn by the Crown. In February 2017, police searched four home across the city and seized about $1.2-million in drugs, including ecstacy, cocaine, meth, marijuana, magic mushrooms, LSD, and Xanax pills. Boake and Herbert will be arraigned on April 23rd. - Sam Borsato
