Team Lethbridge returning home this week after a whirlwind visit to Edmonton to meet with provincial cabinet members, government officials and MLAs. The group is composed of 19 local organizations committed to keeping strong relationships at the provincial level. Premier Rachel Notley sent a video message to the group, saying "with strong , dedicated, and energetic Albertans like those on Team Lethbridge, the province will succeed." Economic Development Lethbridge CEO, Trevor Lewington says they had a high level of engagement from several government ministries and got to showcase how well Lethbridge works together. Lewington says that these visits are good opportunities to discuss government priorities and how Lethbridge fits into the vision for the province. The group was in the provincial capital to raise awareness about how the City of Lethbridge contributes to the province, identify opportunities for collaboration and discuss key issues like economic diversification, partnerships with Indigenous communities, healthy environment, improved public health care and quality education. This was the fifth Team Lethbridge delegation to visit Edmonton since 2008. - Pat Siedlecki
