A man from Illinois is facing ten counts of felony bomb threats after a series of threats were made at schools and businesses in Taber.
A man from Illinois has been arrested and charged in connection to numerous recent bomb threats in Taber.
On Friday (Feb. 8) three schools in that southern Alberta town as well as a local business in Taber received calls indicating there were bombs at those facilities. Taber Police investigated and determined there were actually no devices and no actual danger to the schools or the business.
On Saturday, Taber Police say with the help of Medicine Hat Police, the United States Department of Homeland Security, and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office in Illinois, a man from that state was taken into custody and charged with ten counts of felony bombs threats.
The man's name hasn't been released at this time.
