Taber Police Issue Warning About Opioids

A quick medical response recently saved a person in Taber who had OD'd on fentanyl.

Taber Police have issued a warning after a suspected fentanyl overdose at a home in that town.

Police say it's becoming a growing concern in Taber. Fortunately, a quick medical response saved the person's life. Taber Police are asking residents there to be aware of opioid use and the potential risk around taking drugs like fentanyl.

Opioids have become a major issue across southern Alberta over the past 18 months or so, particularly in Lethbridge and on the Blood Reserve.
