Renewed Search for Missing Couple, Including Lethbridge Woman, Starts Wednesday

Search volunteers will be looking to the north of Kimberley for Alex Simons of Kamloops and Sydney Robillard of Lethbridge after the pair went missing nearly two years ago.

The search for a couple who went missing in the East Kootenays nearly two years ago is resuming.
 
Search volunteers are looking to the north of Kimberley, BC  for 21 year old Alex Simons of Kamloops and 21 year old Sydney Robillard of Lethbridge. The couple rented a Piper Warrior aircraft from Lethbridge on June 8th, 2017 bound for Kamloops. They stopped at the Canadian Rockies International Airport near Cranbrook to refuel and weren't seen or heard from again.
 
Searchers will be using Lethbridge's Aerial Observation Services, a similar company from Medicine  Hat, and two civilian planes. Volunteers with experience operating drones and those who would take their ATV's into the backcountry could also be utilized.
