A police pursuit ending south of Vulcan early Friday morning with three arrests and a small grass fire. At about 2:30am, Calgary Police notified Okotoks RCMP that a stolen pick-up truck was heading toward that community. A spike belt, deployed on Highway 2 just north of High River, deflated two of the tires and that's when two passengers jumped out and were arrested. The stolen truck then headed east on Highway 23 toward Vulcan where a second spike belt was deployed which deflated the other two tires. The driver continued on as sparks from the rims ignited a grass fire in the ditch near Champion. The truck also eventually caught fire and stopped and the driver was arrested. All three suspects are from Calgary. No names have been released as charges haven't been officially sworn. -Tina Giesbrecht
