The closure is needed as work is taking place to increase future sanitary sewer capacity.
For those who like to use the pathway in Peenaquim Park, you'll have to find another place to walk for a few months.
Starting Friday (April 12), the popular pathway will be closed down to facilitate construction of the North Siphon project.
The work will take about four months to complete and should be wrapped up by the end of August if all goes as planned.
The North Siphon project will provide additional sanitary sewer capacity for expansion in the Sherring Industrial Park and future grow in the north and southeast areas of the city.
