Parks Canada Slowly Re-Opening Areas of Waterton Lakes National Park Following Kenow Wildfire

A few more areas of Waterton Lakes National Park are re-opening to the public.

A few more areas of Waterton Lakes National Park are re-opening to the public. They include the Red Rock Parkway to Bellevue Trailhead, Chief Mountain Highway to just past Chief Mountain Overlook, Bellevue Trail, Pass Creek Day Use Area, Maskinonge Day Use Area and Linnet Lake Loop Trail. A couple of popular areas still closed to the public are the Akamina Parkway and Crandell Mountain Campground. Parks Canada says staff are working as quickly as possible to open areas and facilities given the exceptional circumstances resulting from this summer's Kenow wildfire. -Tina Giesbrecht
