Motorists Asked to Watch for Highway Cleanup Volunteers this Weekend

Volunteers in orange vests will be cleaning litter along the highway as part of the annual Alberta Government Highway Cleanup.

Motorists are being asked to keep an eye out for volunteers in orange safety vests this weekend.

The annual Alberta Government Highway Clean-Up runs from 7am to 5pm Saturday. Volunteers from 4H clubs, schools, church organizations, sports teams and other non-profit organizations will participate by collecting trash along Alberta highways.

Drivers should slow down, obey signs, watch for pedestrians and use caution when passing clean-up crews.
