Mayor Bob Tarleck took centre stage at Lethbridge City Council's second last meeting before October's civic election. Tarleck presented a report Monday afternoon on City Council's decision making and other civic issues over the past three years.  He says this council has accomplished a lot, pointing to great strides made in affordable housing and a strong environmental record.  Tarleck also spoke about the new West Lethbridge Centre and says it's an area that will develop into the heart and soul of the westside, which has a lot to do with the partnerships that this Council has created with other agencies and organizations in the City. Tarleck says Lethbridge is one of the few cities that does multi-year budgets and with that Council has focused on a number of long-term goals. The Mayor also made a point in saying Lethbridge has no taxpayer-supported debt when it comes to City projects.
