Simon Scout, 19, is charged with second degree murder in the death of 45-year old Kenrick First Rider.

One of two men accused in the death of a 45-year old Lethbridge man being released on bail Monday morning (Feb. 12). The victim, Kenrick First Rider, was pronounced dead at a north side home on November 27, after police say he got into a physical fight with two other men. Rylan Twigg, 23, and Simon Scout, 19, were charged with second degree murder shortly after. Scout made a brief appearance in court on Monday (Feb. 12) and was released on a $3000 no-cash recognizance, which means he will only have to pay if he breaches his release condition. Those conditions include that he cannot consume any intoxicating substances, can have no contact with Twigg, cannot possess any weapons and must abide by a curfew. He will be back in a Lethbridge courtroom March 7. Twigg remains in jail at the Lethbridge Correctional Centre and will appear in court on Wednesday (Feb. 14). -Sam Borsato
