Maclean's Magazine Report Shows Crime Severity in Lethbridge Dropped Year Over Year

A new report from Maclean's magazine shows crime severity in Lethbridge has been dropping.

A new report from Maclean's magazine shows crime severity in Lethbridge has been dropping. In a report called "Canada's Most Dangerous Places," Lethbridge ranks number 26 out 229 communities across the country. That's a drop from 11th spot last year. Maclean's says the Violent Crime Severity Index for the city has fallen to 87 which is above the national average of 75. The rankings are based on crime stats from 2016. The stats indicate murders, assaults, sexual assaults, and robberies in Lethbridge all declined in 2016 over the year before however there was a rise in firearms offences, break and enters, and fraud. The Maclean's report says Canada's most dangerous city for crime overall is North Battleford, Saskatchewan.
