A local Political Science Professor feels Lethbridge residents have a very good crop of candidates to choose from when the civic election rolls around in a couple of weeks. Marda Schindeler from Lethbridge College says there is a lot of interest with 30 people running for Alderman and six for Mayor.  She says that's a good thing, especially with some very qualified people in the race. She tells CJOC News that suggests a possible need for change in terms of what's been happening on Council.  She notes there has been very little change when it comes to the incumbants over the past few municpal votes. Schindeler says an interesting race could very well help with voter turnout this time as well.  Voting day in October 18th.
