Lethbridge's Chinook High School to Host Leadership Conference

The last weekend of May is being set aside for up to 500 high school students and teacher advisers to attend a leadership conference at the west-side school.

Chinook High School is on target to welcome 500 participants to a conference featuring keynote speakers, classroom sessions, a banquet, dance and much more at the end of May.

Leadership Teacher, Ard Biesheuvel says the conference aims to attract  leadership students and teachers from provincial high schools, but will also showcase the city and surrounding area to visitors with the theme "BUILDING BRIDGES"

Student participant and organizer, Amy Kim says she's excited to meet up with other high school students from around the province.

Kim also says she's looking forward to hearing from Julie & Lowell Taylor from Lethbridge who took part in Canada's Amazing Race
