The Salvation Army in Lethbridge hopes to raise around $156,000 through its annual Christmas Kettle campaign this year.
The Salvation Army in Lethbridge kicking off its Christmas season kettle campaign Friday (Nov. 24). The goal this year is to raise $156,000. Kettle Coordinator, Barney Barnaby says it's a lofty goal, but they need the money. He says there are many needs with their Adopt a Family program, Toys For Tots program, vouchers through the Sally Ann thrift store and more. All the money raised is used locally in the Lethbridge region. Barnaby says he needs about 60 more volunteers to man the kettles this season, so anyone interested can give him a call at 403-715-8622. - Pat Siedlecki
