A University of Lethbridge professor is receiving one of Canada's highest civilian honours at a special ceremony in Ottawa.
A Lethbridge man will be getting one of this country's highest civilian honours later this week. Bryan Kolb is one of ten people to receive the Officers Order of Canada on Friday (Nov. 17) at Rideau Hall in Ottawa. Kolb is a distinguised professor at the University of Lethbridge and pioneered research in the modern field of behavioural neuroscience and neuropsycology. His discoveries regarding the brain plasticity of humans have revolutionized treatments for brain injury and disease. Kolb will be presented the Order of Canada from new Governor General Julie Payette. Nearly 7000 people from all sectors of Canadian society have been invested into the Order since it was created back in 1967.- Pat Siedlecki
